On Monday, January 5th, 2021 Robinhood, Reddit and GameStop took Wall Street and media by storm. The saga crossed multiple areas in relation to stocks, social media, and an American video game and gaming merchandise retailer. With March being Problem Gambling Awareness Month it asks the question: is the stock market gambling? While this has gained attention from a variety of people, we must also explore the impact it has on areas related to addiction, recovery, mental health, gaming, and gambling-related issues.
